Presentation on FPSO coating issues by Darren Broderick.
In the marine environment, fouling organisms colonise all surfaces. Added to which, sea water is an aggressive agent and a good electrolyte that promotes corrosion. The major factors governing ship operating costs and vessel life are the marine vessels themselves, corrosion and surface fouling. This conference will focus on the latest developments in antifouling and anticorrosion coatings, including environmentally sound antifouling coatings, nanotechnology and novel resin technologies.
