PRA Partnership

A new partnership has been formed between PRA (Paint Research Association) and Safinah Ltd to provide an expanded global consultancy for the Marine & Protective coatings industry. Safinah complements PRA’s emphasis on Protective coatings and independent laboratory investigations with their strong track record in Marine coatings consultancy. Together the two teams will be able to quickly identify the best consultant to respond to client’s issues.

As an indication of Safinah's continuing commitment to deliver quality advice and guidance to our customers, Safinah has worked over the last year to develop internal systems to ensure the standard of the services provided.

Safinah was audited by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), in areas covering; "The provision of consultancy services for coating in the marine, protective, offshore and heavy duty markets" and gained accreditation to ISO9001:2000 in March 2007.

By having its business processes audited, Safinah has endorsed its commitment to providing quality services as well as focussing on customer satisfaction.

Being ISO 9001:2000 accredited formally recognises Safinah’s commitment to meeting customer needs. ISO 9001:2000 certification is designed to provide assurances to customers that well-documented systems are in place to ensure the quality of the services it provides.

Safinah, partners in the MAPO project

Safinah are partners in the MAPO project, part of European Commission's 6th Framework Programme.

The MAPO project focuses on marine pollution. Its goal is to enhance the integration of SMEs which are skilled in any aspect of this field, into future European projects.

The European Commission had highlighted in the 6th Framework Programme that there was not enough SME participation into European projects. In addition marine pollution is deemed a priority for future funding of projects in 7th Framework Programme.
